Mexico provides an incredible opportunity for Christians in Arizona who want to experience international missions without traveling halfway around the world.
Our teams travel from Arizona into Baja California, Mexico, where we partner with established churches, orphanages, and ministries already serving their communities.
Rather than arriving with our own agenda, we believe in coming alongside local Christian leaders, listening to their needs, building relationships, and helping them accomplish the work God has already placed before them.
Depending on the trip, ministry opportunities may include:
Every trip is different because we want our service to respond to the actual needs of the ministries and communities we visit.
LIFE Regeneration primarily serves in Baja California, Mexico, including communities in and around the Ensenada region.
Our teams have developed relationships with ministries and Christian leaders in Mexico that allow us to participate in meaningful, ongoing ministry rather than simply visiting once and disappearing.
Some of the ministries and communities we have served include:
Located in La Misión, Baja California, Door of Faith provides care and a home for children in need.
Our teams have opportunities to spend time with the children, prepare meals, organize activities, complete practical projects, and simply be present with them.
Sometimes one of the most meaningful things we can give isn't something we brought across the border.
It's our time.
We work alongside local Christian churches and ministry leaders who understand their communities far better than we ever could. One of our partners is Capilla Calvario Praderas del Ciprés in Ensenada, where Pastor Alvaro and the church family always welcome us with open arms.
Teams may help with community outreaches, children's ministry, evangelism, church projects, meals, special events, and other needs identified by our ministry partners.
Our teams also look for opportunities to encourage and practically serve ministries helping vulnerable women and children. Places like Casa Esperanza, a shelter that provides refuge for abused women and their children. Many of these families have experienced some of life's deepest hurts.
The goal isn't simply to complete projects. It is to serve them, encourage them, and show them the love, hope, and compassion of Jesus Christ through both our actions and our words.
It's to love people in the name of Jesus Christ.
There is no single answer.
One morning you might be repairing something at an orphanage.
That afternoon you could be playing games with children.
The next day you might worship with a local church, serve food, participate in a community outreach, pray with someone, or simply sit down and listen to someone's story.
Mission trips often remind us that ministry isn't always complicated.
Sometimes ministry is simply showing up and being willing to serve.
Our trips combine practical service, relationship building, Christian fellowship, and opportunities to share the Gospel.

You don't necessarily need several weeks away from work and family to participate in international missions.
Many of our Mexico outreaches are designed as short-term mission trips, often taking place over a long weekend.
This makes Mexico missions particularly accessible for people living in:
Instead of purchasing an expensive international airline ticket, teams can travel together from Arizona into Baja California.
For many people, this makes a Mexico mission trip from Arizona a practical first step into international missions.
You don't need previous mission experience.
Some participants have served internationally many times. Others are crossing the border on their very first mission trip.
You don't need to know exactly what to say.
You don't need special ministry training for every activity.
And you don't have to speak fluent Spanish to have a meaningful role on the team.
There are opportunities for people with many different abilities.
Construction experience can be useful.
So can cooking.
So can organizing children's activities.
So can driving.
So can praying.
But one of the most valuable qualifications is simply this:
A willingness to serve.
Mission trips can have a tremendous impact not only on the people being served, but also on those doing the serving.
Depending on the particular trip and its requirements, opportunities may be available for:
We especially love seeing younger people discover that following Jesus involves more than attending church.
It means serving.
It means loving people.
And sometimes it means getting outside our normal routines and seeing firsthand what God is doing somewhere else.
One of our goals is to keep short-term Mexico mission trips as affordable as reasonably possible.
Trip costs vary depending on the length of the trip, lodging, transportation, meals, ministry activities, and projects planned for that particular outreach.
Each upcoming trip will clearly explain:
Don't automatically assume you can't participate because of finances.
If you feel called to serve, contact us and learn about the trip before deciding.
We can help you fundraise as well. You may be surprised at how much we can raise for your trip!
Requirements can vary depending on the trip, age of the participant, method of transportation, and current U.S. and Mexican entry requirements.
Before each trip, participants receive information about required travel documents and preparation. But currently for non-flight trips you will need a passport for all participants over the age of sixteen. For those 16 years or under, a birth certificate will be fine. (But reach out with specific questions on this matter)
We also provide trip-specific information concerning:
Participants should always verify that they meet current U.S. and Mexican travel-document requirements before departure.
Does your church want to serve in Mexico but doesn't have an established missions program or ministry connections in place?
LIFE Regeneration can help your church or group organize a Christian mission trip to Mexico and serve alongside the trusted churches, orphanages, and ministries we have developed relationships within Baja California.
Whether you're bringing a youth group, men's or women's ministry, small group, or an entire church team, we can help coordinate a meaningful short-term mission experience based on the size, abilities, and goals of your group.
Your team may have opportunities to serve through:
Trips can range from a long weekend to a weeklong mission trip, depending on your group's needs and availability.
You don't have to build a Mexico missions program from scratch. Come alongside LIFE Regeneration and our established ministry partners, and we'll help your church take that first step into serving in Mexico.
International travel always requires preparation and good judgment.
LIFE Regeneration takes trip planning seriously. We work with established ministry contacts in Mexico, travel as a team, communicate expectations before departure, and make decisions based on the circumstances surrounding each trip.
At the same time, no organization can honestly promise that international travel is completely without risk.
Participants should evaluate current travel information, understand the planned destination and itinerary, and make an informed decision about participating.
Up to this current date we have operated without incident.
Something happens when you step outside your normal routine and begin serving others.
You may travel to Mexico hoping to change someone's life and discover that God changes yours along the way.
You begin seeing people differently.
You begin appreciating things you've taken for granted.
You discover abilities you didn't know you had.
Your faith gets stretched.
And Scripture begins looking different when you're actually living it.
That's why we don't want our Mexico outreaches to simply produce good memories and photographs.
We want them to produce disciples who return home ready to live differently.
Because our neighbors don't stop at the border.
Jesus called His followers to make disciples of all nations and to love and serve others.
Mexico gives Christians living in Arizona an opportunity to put that calling into action remarkably close to home.
But our goal isn't to go into Mexico believing we're arriving as heroes.
We go as servants.
We believe sustainable ministry happens through relationships and partnership with people who live and minister in these communities every day.
They know the language.
They know the culture.
They know their communities.
And they'll still be there after our team drives home.
Our role is to come alongside them, encourage them, strengthen their work, and serve wherever we're needed.
Our ministry has focused heavily on Baja California,
Our teams originate in Arizona and typically coordinate travel arrangements so participants can travel together.
