LIFE Regeneration believes effective short-term missions should strengthen the Christians and ministries already serving their communities.

We don't want to simply arrive, hold an event, take pictures, and leave.

We want to come alongside local believers.

For this outreach, we partnered with the congregation of Calvary Praderas del Ciprés, whose members helped make the event possible and continue ministering to people in the surrounding community.

They know their community.

They speak the language.

They understand the culture.

And they remain there after our mission team returns to Arizona.

Our role is to encourage them, serve alongside them, and help strengthen the work God is already doing through the local church.

Our team wasn't made up of professional missionaries.

It was made up of ordinary Christians willing to go.

Some served food.

• Some worked with children.
• Some helped with activities.
• Some repaired bicycles.
• Some prayed with people.
• Some worked behind the scenes.
• Some shared their faith.
• Everyone had a role.

That's one of the things we love about short-term missions:

You don't need to be a pastor or professional missionary to be used by God.

You simply need a surrendered heart and a willingness to serve.
